GENERAL SUMMARY: The HR Coordinator performs a variety of routine tasks to facilitate all functional areas of human resources including, but not limited to, employee relations, processing and records, benefits, leave, training, and recruitment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Acts as the primary contact between university staff and human resources for HR-related inquiries.Acts as the primary contact between university staff and human resources for HR-related inquiries. Assist with general office or fiscal activities including but not limited to greeting visitors, answering phone and email requests, and processing expenses or ordering office supplies. Assisting HR with the process of recruitment, including potential candidates, assisting with interviews, and issuing employment contracts Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions Supporting internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department Compiling and maintaining paper, digital, and electronic employee records, including holiday and sick leaves Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation, and maintains I-9 files Reconciles benefits statements Prepares new-employee files and maintains a filing system for the HR Department Process incoming and outgoing mail. Conducts audits of payroll, benefits, or other HR programs. Assists with the preparation of the performance review process. Makes photocopies; emails, scans, and email documents; and performs other clerical functions Continuously learn the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency. Performs other related duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities. Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Solid understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment. Impeccable written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or its equivalent Minimum Experience Required: 1 to 3 years of relevant progressive work experience The complexity of Duties: Difficult work on highly technical or involved projects; presenting new or constantly changing problems.
