Responsibilities

Solutions Development

Build tools, dashboards, and apps to make the way our employees work easier, quicker, and more informed. This will include

  • Building and maintaining mobile Apps in MS Power Apps
  • Building dashboards in Power Bi, PARCview, Pi Process Book and other applications
  • Provide input to prioritize and execute on the development of reporting and analytics solutions in support of the Reporting and Analytics strategy
  • End-to-end development of reporting and analytics solutions
  • Analyze, study and test data inputs and outputs to ensure quality
  • Facilitate the completion of a company-wide performance dashboard
  • Develop solutions within the organization’s available technology stack
  • Employ various data gathering techniques to ensure proper solution design (workshops, focus groups, questionnaires, surveys, etc.)

Training Content Creation & Training

  • Develop interesting and easy to access training materials / tips for how to work with the various tools and systems available to employees
  • Coach and mentor supervisors/leaders/managers/process engineers to improve analytical capabilities across our manufacturing sites
  • Develop processes and standards for reporting and analytics that others can adopt and follow
  • Listen to feedback from frontline employees on how to improve the systems we use to drive our business
  • Create training videos and content that is visually appealing and easy to understand

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education in Data Science and Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar field of study
  • Formal training and understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • 2-4 years of Reporting experience:
    • Designing and implementing reporting solutions (Excel, PowerBI, Alteryx, etc.)
    • Querying SQL/NoSQL databases and RESTful APIs
    • Designing, developing, and communicating KPIs to business stakeholders
    • Creating mockups and prototypes to facilitate report design
    • Soliciting requirements from various stakeholders
    • Developing reporting solutions that are scalable, sustainable, and easy to maintain
  • Exposure to (OLSoft Pi, PARCview, ITop / RtDuet, JD Edwards) would be an asset
  • Advanced skills in data analysis (SSMS, SSAS, Power BI, SQL Server, Excel, MS Power Apps, MS Power Automate, etc.)
  • Data Modelling
  • Any App development (iOS, Android, MS Power Apps)
  • Competency in creating technical training materials for reporting and analytics
  • Effective change management and conflict resolution skills
