Job Description
The Senior Payroll Analyst will support the Senior Manager, Payroll with the organization’s payroll functions (multi-state) and in-house processing for all staff and players in compliance with government and National Football League (NFL) regulations. The role involves optimizing our Dayforce (formerly Ceridian) system, driving analytical improvements, and reconciling our payroll accounts. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, customer service-oriented team player.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assists in ensuring accurate and timely production of weekly payroll functions; oversees and participates in the review, verification, auditing, input and processing of payroll forms, records, and documents.
- Ensures receipt, processing and auditing of employee time information and related reports and documents; participates with the inputting, coding and adjustment of employee information including deductions.
- Participates in the preparation and maintenance of records and reports related to payroll, employee information, time sheets, benefits, salaries, leave, deductions, payments, and other assigned duties.
- Reviews, evaluates and audits payroll, health benefit changes and related records and reports for accurate payroll processing.
- Participates in complex payroll support functions; calculates, reviews, verifies and posts a variety of complex payroll data such as gross pay, contract adjustments, retroactive payments, hours, PTO balance, reconciles and submits payrolls for check processing.
- Coordinates auditing, record-keeping, and reporting functions to ensure proper application, calculation and reporting of payroll data and benefits.
- Participates in the coding and application of voluntary deductions, distribution and processing of 401k and Health Savings Account (HSA) plans, processing of payroll deductions for health and welfare benefits.
- Verifies proper authorizing signatures, coding, and accuracy of payroll adjustments.
- Composes, distributes, and responds to inquiries by employees.
- Responds to all incoming verification forms for earnings and garnishments.
- Responds to tax agency notifications and provides resolutions.
- Prepares monthly and annual payroll-related journal entries.
- Prepares monthly balance sheet payroll account reconciliations.
- Partners with other functions, such as human resources, finance, and stadium operations to provide guidance regarding time and attendance and other payroll matters.
- Enhances Dayforce functionality to streamline processes and ensure data accuracy.
- Works with internal and external auditors to provide support for various census and workers’ compensation reporting.

Education and Experience:
- At least 3-5 years’ relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Thorough understanding of payroll systems, preferable Dayforce
- Great Plains, Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred.
