Job Description

Position Title – Business Intelligence Developer

CORMAC is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our growing team. The Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for creating interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reporting solutions that deliver valuable insights for business operations. By leveraging data from multiple sources, you will design and implement dashboards that empower stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions. Your work will directly contribute to optimizing business performance and identifying growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop interactive and user-friendly dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker) to help business stakeholders visualize key metrics and trends.
  • Build and maintain efficient data models to integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring consistency and accuracy for reporting purposes.
  • Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure clean, accurate, and up-to-date data for dashboard development.
  • Create reports and data visualizations that translate complex datasets into easy-to-understand insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work closely with business leaders, analysts, and IT teams to understand reporting requirements, business objectives, and KPIs to ensure that dashboards align with organizational needs.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data by implementing quality checks and validating data for consistency before it is visualized in reports and dashboards.
  • Optimize the performance of dashboards and reports by streamlining queries, improving data models, and reducing load times.
  • Implement automated reporting and dashboard refresh schedules to ensure that stakeholders have access to real-time data.
  • Document dashboard and reporting solutions, including data sources, calculations, and business rules, to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide training to end-users and offer ongoing support for dashboard and report utilization, ensuring that business users can navigate and extract insights independently.
  • Continuously evaluate new BI tools, technologies, and best practices to improve the performance, functionality, and design of dashboards and reporting systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in BI development, dashboard creation, and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced data visualization techniques (e.g., custom visualizations, predictive analytics).
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or JavaScript for advanced analytics or customization.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience with big data platforms and technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Redshift).
