Tasks

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Trainee to support our daily laboratory operations, with a primary focus on imaging flow cytometry. This role also provides exposure to additional analytical techniques like ICP-MS and GC-MS. You will contribute to the development of new laboratory methods and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of biological samples using flow cytometry and other techniques.
  • Support the optimization and validation of flow cytometry methods.
  • Contribute to the development of new laboratory methods and procedures.
  • Assist in drafting laboratory reports and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Ensure the laboratory is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
  • Support validation and verification processes for newly developed methods.
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (ISO 15189).

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Technology, or a related discipline) or equivalent vocational training.
  • Strong interest in laboratory work, with a particular focus on imaging flow cytometry.
  • Basic understanding of laboratory safety protocols and quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO 15189 and other regulatory standards is an advantage but not required.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Minimum A2 understanding of German.
