Compensation: $16/hour (before tip credit)

Job Summary

As a Barista at Little Ruby’s Café, you’ll prepare exceptional coffee and tea beverages for our dining room and bar guests while delivering warm and gracious hospitality. Working in a high-energy, high-volume environment, you’ll gain valuable industry experience and have the chance to grow into leadership roles within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare specialty coffee and tea beverages to meet company standards.
• Anticipate guest needs and deliver exceptional service to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and venue.
• Develop and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the coffee, tea, food, and beverage menus.
• Execute opening, closing, and side-work tasks, including inventory and sanitation checks.
• Actively participate in pre-service meetings, training sessions, and team-building activities.
• Represent the café with a professional appearance and adherence to company policies.
• Share knowledge and mentor others, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
• Comfort with technology and programming skills are a plus but not required.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a barista, especially in high-volume restaurant environments.
• Expertise in latte art (be ready to share photos of your work).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Physical stamina to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods, and manage up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
