Position Summary

The Director of Supply Chain provides leadership and oversight for outlet, salvage, recycling, distribution and transportation operations for the Donated Goods & Retail Division. This role is responsible for maximizing financial performance for the entire Supply Chain division. This position plays a lead role in Goodwill’s sustainability initiatives including reducing the amount of waste created through waste diversion efforts and the creation of circular solutions for post-consumer household goods.

This position will direct warehouse inventory management, distribution, transportation, forecasting, customer service for internal and external stakeholders.

This position serves as a member of the Leadership Council.

Duties Will Also Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Lead, support, and ensure accountability of outlet store and salvage operations management to achieve financial and sustainability objectives
  • Direct the coordination of inbound or outbound distribution operations, such as warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management
  • Oversee daily and strategic transportation operations for Goodwill – review scheduling, routing, and dispatching of Goodwill shipments to ensure timely delivery while optimizing costs and efficiency
  • Negotiate with suppliers or customers to improve supply chain efficiency
  • Keep staff informed of all Goodwill initiatives, policy changes and updates and other general company information
  • Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team

Hiring Range: $74,880-$77,875.20

Schedule: Will vary, must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Travel: Local travel may will be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree AND at least 2 years of experience in either material movement, logistics, warehousing, or similar
  • Supervisory experience is highly preferred

  • Candidates are expected to provide current, valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH)
