Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO&I) is the team behind the cloud. Within CO&I, the Global Project Controls (GPC) team is responsible for delivering core datacenter infrastructure for Microsoft’s cloud business. The MS portfolio consists of complex, multi-disciplinary, large scale, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects. We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to help build the cloud datacenters that power the world’s largest online services.

To help us continue to scale and meet our customer commitments, we’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Business Administrator to join the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) team.?As a member of this team, you’ll have unique visibility into a key Microsoft business and the opportunity to drive impact across the CO+I organization while supporting the Vice President of Global Datacenter Contracts.

This role is eligible for hybrid, up to 50% from home.

Responsibilities

  • Calendar Management: Manage and align calendars for leaders, including meeting preparation, troubleshooting AV/technical issues, and handling ambiguous scheduling needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support team operations and communication needs.
  • Discipline Development: Participate in the Business Support community, mentor colleagues, support onboarding, and contribute to team culture by sharing best practices and insights.
  • Team Management Support: Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding logistics, including headcount management, equipment setup, and employee transitions.
  • Event Coordination: Plan and support events, manage logistics, track outcomes, and contribute to team morale and dynamics.
  • Project Ownership: Lead and execute projects independently, ensure accountability, identify risks, and suggest process improvements.
  • Resource and Financial Management: Track and manage hardware, supplies, budgets, expenses, and vendor relationships while ensuring policy compliance.
  • Rhythm of Business (ROB): Support the team’s ROB by managing schedules, understanding interdependencies, and coordinating business cadences.
  • Space Management: Maintain and update space assignments, coordinate large-scale space needs, and provide recommendations based on utilization data.
  • Travel Management: Arrange travel and itineraries, manage international travel requirements, and adhere to travel policies.

Qualifications

Required Qualitifcations:

  • 2+ years Administrative, Business Support, and/or customer service experience.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years Administrative, Business Support, or customer service experience in an environment with an emphasis on scheduling meetings/events, travel management, and basic administration work.
  • Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Human Resources [HR], Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Sociology)
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience reviewing and managing administrative budgets (e.g., for events, morale, travel, training).

Business Support ATR-C – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $23.56 – $41.68 per hour. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $34.71 – $48.22 per hour.
