As our highly valued Manager, Northern Regional Network, you will contribute to ensuring a bright future for Queensland, Australia and our global partners. You will do this with people who want you to grow and progress.
Reporting to the Director, Advisory Services and Regions, you will have the opportunity to grow the QLD trade and investment network and deliver operational services and outcomes across a truly global public sector organisation, aligned to the Queensland Trade and Investment Strategy 2022-32. You will also be required to drive engagement with clients and stakeholders across the priority sector portfolio to deliver export and investment outcomes.
Based In Townsville, Here’s What Your Role Will Involve
- Lead the Unit’s investment attraction facilitation including development of investment attraction business cases, engendering cross government collaboration and undertaking consultation/negotiations with potential investors.
- Initiate and implement innovative projects and initiatives for the priority sectors aligned to the QLD Trade and Investment Strategy and the wider TIQ/Queensland Government.
- In collaboration with the Director, provide strong, motivational collective leadership to develop and maintain a high performing team, fostering a professional environment which encourages commitment to ethical behaviour, skills development, and continuous improvement.
- Provide specialist sectoral advice, undertake research, keep abreast and monitor current industry, sector trends and government policies in the support of supply and demand of new critical developments and emerging opportunities.
- Support the Director to facilitate TIQ’s planning, budgeting, monitoring and forecasting processes, business planning and quarterly reporting.
- Represent TIQ on inter-departmental, national and industry committees and present and participate in key government and business forums.
