Your Typical Day At Work

As a Tier 1 Technical Support Specialist, you will be the first line of technical assistance for home security services. You will be:

  • Answering incoming and placing outbound calls to existing customers to help answer technical assistance questions and provide solutions for a major home security company
  • Troubleshooting company products and services; enhancing the customer experience through excellent communication of complex situations and solutions.
  • Use systems to dispatch technician if necessary

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3-6 months of technical customer service experience
  • Must possess strong ability to interact with customers remotely in order to negotiate spending time on the phone, working through the alarm issue remotely vs. receiving service within home or business
  • Strong communication skills and ability to empathize with customer, breaking down complex problems into understandable/common terms is also necessary
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical aptitude, problem solving skills and ability to prioritize multiple items at once

Important Details

  • Fully Remote Position – Must reside in and be legally eligible to work in Canada or the United States
  • Must have open availability to work between 10am – Midnight EST Monday – Sunday, as per business needs (split offs)
  • Immediate start dates
  • Must have personal Windows 10/11 computer that you can use for work. It must be able to connect directly to modem with an Ethernet cable, minimum 8 GB available RAM, minimum internet speeds of 30mbps download and 10mbps upload
