Yard Operative

Role Overview

We are looking for Yard Operatives to join the Sandwich Operation Centre, CT13 9ND, as the site continues to grow. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working outdoors in all weather and has a genuine interest in vehicles and car handling.

What the Role Involves

You will play an important part in the day-to-day running of the yard, helping the team respond quickly to customer needs and complete service orders on time. The role includes making sure vehicles are kept and managed according to customer and company standards, as well as using a handheld device to capture vehicle images.

Salary

The annual pay for this role is £29,046.

Requirements

• You must hold a full driving licence.
• Prior experience operating plant equipment, including forklift loaders and shovels, is required.
• You should bring strong customer service ability.
• Clear written and spoken communication is important.
• A careful eye for detail is essential.
• You need to be comfortable using handheld devices and basic IT tools.
• You should be able to juggle multiple tasks in a busy, fast-moving environment.
• You must be happy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
