Role Summary
The Welding Engineer will oversee welding and fabrication work, support quality compliance, and help maintain documentation and process standards across the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and guide welding and fabrication operations.
- Create, examine, and authorize WPS, PQR, and WPQ documents.
- Verify that work follows ASME, AWS, and customer-specific requirements.
- Carry out inspections before and after welding activities.
- Keep welding-related records accurate and up to date.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve welding challenges.
Candidate Profile
The role calls for a strong grasp of ASME codes and welding processes, along with the ability to read fabrication drawings and understand welding symbols. Professional certifications such as CSWIP, AWS, or an equivalent qualification are preferred.
Eligibility
Applicants should hold a B.Tech/B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering and have at least 4 years of relevant experience.
