Role summary

The organization is hiring a seasoned Transformer QA Manager / Engineer to oversee quality assurance activities and transformer testing within its manufacturing plant in Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine, type, and special tests on transformers independently.
• Perform temperature rise testing and acoustic testing.
• Set up and improve transformer testing stations and workflows.
• Choose, service, and calibrate test instruments and equipment.
• Verify that testing and quality processes meet IEC requirements and customer-specific standards.
• Lead quality inspections and factory acceptance testing activities.
• Draft technical test reports and maintain quality-related records and documentation.
• Support ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening product quality and process performance.

Qualifications and experience

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and bring at least 10 years of hands-on experience in transformer testing and quality assurance. Strong familiarity with IEC 60076 is required, along with practical exposure to transformer test facilities and FAT procedures.

Compensation

The monthly salary range for this position is QAR 13,000 to QAR 15,000.
