Teleporter Driver

Role overview

Rockwell is looking for a Teleporter Driver to join a major project in Limerick, County Limerick, Ireland. In this position, you will report to the Construction Manager and Project Manager and take responsibility for operating a teleporter safely and effectively across the site.

What you'll do

• Move materials, equipment, and personnel around the site in a safe and controlled manner using the teleporter.
• Complete daily pre-use inspections and carry out basic upkeep of the machine.
• Work closely with site management and trade teams to make sure deliveries arrive where needed and on time.
• Serve as the designated slinger signaller and direct crane and lifting activities using approved hand signals and communication procedures.
• Check lifting accessories for damage or defects and escalate any issues without delay.
• Keep teleporter routes and lifting areas clear and safe at all times.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental rules, along with project-specific risk assessments.
• Support general site work when needed and help maintain a tidy, organised worksite.
• Promptly report unsafe behaviour, near misses, and incidents to the Site Manager.

Skills and experience needed

• Hands-on experience operating a teleporter in a construction environment.
• Solid knowledge of lifting operations and safe load handling.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions accurately.
• Clear communication skills for working with crane operators, managers, and site trades.
• Good awareness of safety procedures and manual handling practices.
• Valid Safe Pass certification.
• Manual Handling Certificate.
• CSCS Teleporter Operator Card.
• CSCS Slinger/Signaller Card.
