About the Organisation

Mandai Wildlife Group manages Mandai Wildlife Reserve in Singapore, a distinctive nature and wildlife destination that brings together world-class wildlife parks, green public spaces, nature-led visitor experiences, and an eco-friendly resort. The organisation is also leading the regeneration of the wider Mandai area beside Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve.

Role Overview

This position supports a task force team that handles quick turnaround minor repair work across the facilities. The role requires hands-on technical capability, adherence to workplace safety rules and service standards, and close coordination with end users and internal stakeholders to complete maintenance tasks efficiently.

Key Duties

  • Support the task force team with day-to-day minor repair and quick-fix maintenance activities, while working in line with WSH requirements, internal procedures, and service expectations.
  • Work with end users, follow up on repair requests, and consult the Manager or Senior Technical Executive when issues arise on site.
  • Perform small-scale repair jobs involving carpentry, plumbing, wall and floor restoration, door hardware, painting, and other general building repairs as needed.
  • Log completed repair work in FacilityBot so records are properly maintained for tracking and reference.
  • Keep an eye on commonly used tools and repair consumables to make sure adequate stock is available for daily operations.

Job Requirements

  • NTC3/Nitec in electrical engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience with solid technical knowledge.
  • Ability to interpret electrical wiring, control diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Capability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and systems.
  • Basic understanding of air-conditioning systems, including troubleshooting.
  • Plumbing and fire protection knowledge will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an outgoing personality and good people management ability.
  • Willingness to work on a shift or rostered schedule, on a 5-day work week.
  • Comfortable working at height, including climbing a 12-metre lamp pole for lighting refocusing and replacement of blown lamps when required.

Work Conditions

The role involves shift-based work on a roster and may require working at height. Some duties include climbing a 12-metre lamp pole to complete lighting refocusing and replacement tasks.
