Technician - Mall Operations

Overview

This role is part of the mall operations team at Marina Bay Sands and involves practical maintenance work in a fast-moving environment. The position supports the upkeep of facilities and equipment, with a focus on delivering timely, quality repairs and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out hands-on tasks such as stock movement, inventory checks, building upkeep, minor electrical repairs, and fault finding.
• Inspect equipment on site and complete repairs across different types of equipment.
• Prepare estimates for project materials and labour requirements.
• Handle ad hoc assignments as needed, including supervising and coordinating handymen.
• Maintain quality and timeliness while working under pressure in a busy environment.
• Complete all work in line with company policies and the organisation’s vision, mission, and values.

Requirements

• Higher Nitec qualification or a relevant field is preferred.
• At least 2 years of work experience is required.
• Prior exposure to engineering or facilities functions is preferred.
• Comfortable using a variety of hand tools and power tools.
• Able to communicate in basic spoken and written English.
• Shows a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Works well with others and values teamwork.
• Available to work on any day of the week and on rotating shifts, including duties up to midnight.
• Able to meet attendance expectations and follow departmental and company policies.
