Role overview

This position is a hands-on presales leadership role focused on active infrastructure solutions across the region. The supervisor will guide, coach, and grow a team of Technology Support Services Specialists while also serving as a technical resource for internal teams and external customers. The role carries ownership of technical alignment with key OEM partners, supports complex regional and global opportunities, and works closely with Sales to shape solutions that are both technically robust and commercially workable.

What you will do

Most of the work is desk-based and carried out virtually with customers through the sales organization. The supervisor will allocate work to specialists when needed, balance team workload, and join customer and sales discussions to provide presales application support. A key part of the job is to translate customer needs into technical recommendations and create Bills of Materials that match the required solution.

Presales and solution leadership

  • Serve as the main technical presales contact for active infrastructure opportunities, including routing, switching, wireless, security, data centre networking, computer and storage, and related management platforms.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions, solution design, and positioning for complex enterprise, hyperscale, and strategic accounts across APAC.
  • Build complete solution designs, confirm architecture fit, and prepare accurate Bills of Materials that match customer requirements and standards.
  • Take part in customer meetings, technical workshops, and senior-level discussions as the subject matter expert.

OEM and vendor management

  • Manage technical relationships with key active infrastructure OEMs and ecosystem partners.
  • Keep up to date with OEM portfolios, roadmaps, market positioning, and competitive differentiators.
  • Handle OEM technical escalations, product validation, proof-of-concept activities, and solution approvals.
  • Help shape OEM strategy and enablement plans to support regional and global presales goals.

Regional and global coverage

  • Provide presales support across Southeast Asia, India, and wider APAC, including multi-country and global programs.
  • Support large, complex, and strategic bids that require collaboration across regions and disciplines.
  • Act as the regional technical escalation contact for active infrastructure solutions.

Sales enablement and technical leadership

  • Work closely with Sales to qualify technical needs, shape opportunities, and position differentiated solutions.
  • Coach sales teams and junior presales staff with technical guidance and enablement support when needed.
  • Contribute technical content, reference architectures, and best-practice material for reuse across the region.

Ongoing technical excellence

  • Stay informed about new technologies, architectures, and industry developments in enterprise and data centre networking.
  • Ensure all proposed solutions follow best practices for security, resilience, scalability, and performance.
  • Support internal standards, playbooks, and presales governance processes.

Qualifications and experience

Applicants should have a degree or diploma, or an equivalent level of technical experience, along with the required licenses, certificates, or designations. A bachelor’s degree in eCommerce, eBusiness, information technology, or a related field is preferred. The role requires more than 10 years of experience in a technical discipline covering design, implementation, and/or commissioning. A customer-focused mindset is important, along with intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong leadership and decision-making ability within the assigned area of responsibility are also expected. BICSI RCDD or an equivalent industry certification is preferred. Additional preferred experience includes 2 years with Microsoft Visio, AutoCAD 2D, iBwave, or JVSG, and 2 years with Bluebeam Revu, AVAware, or XTEN AV.
