Role Overview
Tata Consultancy Services is hiring a SQL DBA in Kolkata, India to manage and support Microsoft SQL Server databases for business applications.
Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and support SQL databases that run key business systems.
- Investigate database slowdowns and improve query efficiency and overall performance.
- Work with application developers to plan and deliver database schema updates.
- Protect data by setting up proper access permissions, backup routines, and recovery processes.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience of 5 to 7 years in a SQL DBA position working on Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Solid command of T-SQL and familiarity with its syntax and usage.
- Practical understanding of database design, normalization, and indexing approaches.
