Quality Engineer

Role overview

This position is for a Quality Engineer in Pune, Maharashtra. The role centers on strengthening quality across the full software lifecycle by working with cross-functional teams, integrating ecosystem components, and helping deliver reliable application outcomes.

What the role involves

The engineer will contribute to continuous testing for security, API, and regression coverage, while also shaping automation approaches, building automated scripts, and supporting data and environment setup. The work includes taking part in code reviews, tracking defects, and feeding insights back into the process so testing quality keeps improving.

Responsibilities

• Work independently on assigned tasks and grow into a subject matter expert.
• Take part actively in team discussions and contribute ideas during problem-solving.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to keep testing aligned with project objectives.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts that support CI/CD pipelines.
• Review test outcomes and share clear, actionable feedback with development teams.
• Help improve testing frameworks and tools to expand efficiency and test coverage.
• Assist in setting up test data and environments for different testing needs.
• Support junior colleagues by sharing knowledge and best practices.

Technical requirements

The candidate should bring strong capability in automated testing, including the design and implementation of test frameworks and scripts. A solid grasp of continuous testing practices, environment/data configuration, defect tracking, and code review participation is also important.

Qualifications

The role requires at least 3 years of experience in automated testing and a 15 years full-time education background.

This is an onsite position based at the Pune office.
