Role overview
The Project Coordinator will help drive business growth efforts by organising projects, supporting client and stakeholder communication, preparing tender and proposal materials, and keeping business development work moving smoothly from start to finish.
What you'll do
- Support business development by tracking potential opportunities, tenders, and market movements.
- Help create proposals, presentations, and other submission documents.
- Coordinate the paperwork and supporting materials needed for new opportunities and client submissions.
- Assist in shaping and executing strategies to grow the business.
- Manage business development projects from launch through completion.
- Build project schedules, timelines, and action plans, then monitor progress against milestones and deadlines.
- Keep project records accurate, up to date, and well organised.
- Track deliverables and share progress updates with management.
- Arrange meetings, presentations, and follow-up tasks.
- Research industry trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities.
- Prepare market insight reports and provide recommendations based on findings.
- Review project and business performance data to identify growth opportunities.
- Produce regular reports on project status, business development activity, and performance measures.
- Provide updates and briefings to the finance and investment team on action items and project progress.
- Maintain filing systems and records for proposals, contracts, and project files.
- Assist with budgeting and cost tracking for development initiatives.
- Ensure activities align with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across project coordination processes.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience supporting business development activities.
- A diploma or degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, Engineering, or a similar field.
- Between 3 and 7 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or a closely related position.
- Strong planning, organisation, and multitasking ability.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Hands-on experience with CRM platforms and project management tools.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Background in finance, engineering, property, or another related discipline.
- Exposure to development projects.
- Good understanding of financial concepts and the ability to take part in commercial discussions, without needing technical modelling experience.
