Processing Officer

About the role

This role is based at NZ Post’s Whakatane Operations Centre on 143a Commerce St., Whakatane. You’ll help keep parcels and freight moving by sorting, consolidating, and preparing items for courier delivery. The position supports the team during periods of annual leave and sick leave, and is offered on a casual on-call basis.

Working pattern and pay

• Hourly rate: $26.75
• Casual on-call arrangement, with shifts assigned as needed
• Typical operating windows are around 3:00am to 8:00am and 1:00pm to 5:00pm

What the role involves

• Sorting, grouping, and dispatching parcels and freight for courier runs
• Working with the team to support the flow of goods through the operations centre
• Helping maintain a safe, organised, and efficient workplace
