Private Equity Associate

Role overview

A well-established mid-market private equity fund based in Munich is seeking an Associate to strengthen its investment team. The role is focused on supporting the full investment lifecycle, from analysis and evaluation through to portfolio support after investment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out research on markets, companies, and financial performance to help evaluate private equity opportunities.
• Build financial models, assess valuations, and conduct due diligence for possible acquisitions.
• Develop investment presentations, internal materials, and stakeholder-facing reports.
• Track the performance of portfolio companies and contribute to strategic projects after transactions are completed.

Requirements

• Fluency in both German and English, including written and spoken communication.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a similar subject.
• Strong analytical ability, especially in financial modelling and valuation work.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience using financial databases is beneficial.
