Role overview

This position is centered on reviewing designs, managing technical documentation, and coordinating across disciplines so that mechanical services are fully detailed, approved, and aligned with the project’s specifications and site conditions. The role works closely with project managers, consultants, procurement teams, and site engineers to keep execution on track.

What you will do

• Examine mechanical drawings, specifications, and BOQs to verify accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and check shop drawings and material submittals for HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems.
• Coordinate mechanical layouts with architectural, structural, and electrical drawings to prevent clashes.
• Handle RFIs and communicate with consultants to obtain approvals and clarify technical points.
• Support procurement by assessing supplier quotations and reviewing technical datasheets.
• Ensure all work aligns with UAE regulations and authority approval requirements.
• Provide technical support to site teams and issue updated documentation when needed.
• Maintain submission logs, approval tracking, and well-organized project records.

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Prior experience with a general contracting company in the UAE.
• Good working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems.
• Hands-on experience in preparing shop drawings and technical submissions.
• Familiarity with local authority rules and approval procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering tools.
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
• Ability to manage several submissions while meeting project deadlines.
