Role Overview

The HR Business Partner will work as a strategic people partner for a defined business function, aligning people practices with business objectives. The position requires close collaboration with leadership and employees to support workforce planning, performance management, talent growth, engagement, and policy adherence. The role also includes analyzing HR data, handling employee concerns proactively, supporting change initiatives, and strengthening an inclusive workplace. At NxtWave, this role additionally contributes to AI-led HR transformation by spotting opportunities for automation, predictive analytics, and a better employee experience through technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Align people initiatives with business priorities for the assigned team or function.
  • Improve employee engagement and overall employee experience.
  • Support performance reviews, talent development, and succession-related activities.
  • Study HR data to identify trends and share useful insights with stakeholders.
  • Address employee relations matters and resolve grievances in a timely manner.
  • Coach managers and help them become more effective people leaders.
  • Interpret HR policies correctly and ensure compliance with relevant rules.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to execute people-related programs.

Requirements

  • A graduate degree in any discipline is required; a BBA or MBA with HR specialization is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in HR business partnering is preferred, ideally in the ed-tech sector.
  • Regional language fluency in Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, or Hindi is preferred because hiring is for different regions.

Work Details

This is an on-site position based in Hyderabad. Working hours are 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and the workweek runs from Monday through Saturday.
