Role overview
The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests at Ladurée and plays a key role in setting a refined, welcoming tone from the moment they arrive. This position focuses on greeting visitors, coordinating reservations and seating, and supporting a polished guest experience that reflects the brand’s premium standards.
Key responsibilities
- Receive guests courteously and present a professional, friendly first impression.
- Track reservations, organize the waiting list, and keep seating flow well managed.
- Guide guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Work with the restaurant team to improve table rotation and seating efficiency.
- Handle incoming phone calls, answer questions, and process booking requests.
- Keep reservation details, guest preferences, and special notes accurately recorded.
- Maintain a tidy, orderly, and inviting reception and waiting area.
- Help guests with directions, menu details, and information about restaurant services.
- Address guest issues with professionalism and involve management when needed.
- Support VIP hosting, special occasions, and promotional activities.
- Follow Ladurée grooming, presentation, and professionalism standards at all times.
- Coordinate closely with management and service staff to deliver a smooth overall guest journey.
Requirements
- Secondary school completion or an equivalent qualification; hospitality studies are considered a plus.
- Prior experience in hostessing, front-desk reception, or a guest-facing hospitality role is preferred.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Customer-focused attitude with a polished and professional approach.
- Comfort working in a busy environment while staying detail-oriented.
- Good planning, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other languages is an added advantage.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with reservation tools.
- Availability for rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
