Role overview
Evance is hiring a full-time front-end and UI web developer to work with its in-house team. The role focuses on building and improving websites, themes, user interfaces, and user experiences using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Project environment
You will contribute to a broad cloud-based platform that brings together a range of technical and design work. The product area covers e-commerce, content management software, custom and standard themes, internal and client-facing websites, and administrative as well as partner portals.
Key responsibilities
- Create responsive websites and theme experiences on the Evance platform.
- Develop themes for the company’s theme library.
- Work on the core user interface of the Evance product.
- Connect front-end components with back-end functionality.
- Improve and extend front-end frameworks used for the website, application UI/UX, and theme engine.
- Document UI components clearly for internal use.
Requirements
The company is open to candidates from varied educational and professional backgrounds, provided they can show strong practical ability.
- Ability to build well-organized HTML structures.
- Experience writing CSS that is maintainable and scalable, including familiarity with Sass.
- Hands-on experience building responsive web pages and interfaces that work across browsers.
- Strong command of JavaScript.
- Working knowledge of jQuery.
- Vue.js knowledge is considered an advantage.
- Awareness of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
