Role overview

This Estimator position sits within the projects team and plays an important part in tender preparation, pricing, and estimating variations or custom-made products. The role reports to the Projects Manager and contributes directly to project delivery and sales outcomes, including work tied to large infrastructure developments around Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Work with clients, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to prepare precise costings and estimates.
• Assist in compiling major tender responses and pricing submissions.
• Prepare estimates for product variations and custom-made items.

What you will need

You do not need an engineering qualification for this role, but you should be able to understand engineering and production drawings, have a practical understanding of fabrication, and enter data accurately. Experience using Microsoft Dynamics D365 would be beneficial, though it is not mandatory.

Preferred experience and skills

• Approximately 1–2 years of experience in estimating or sales administration.
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Clear communication skills for dealing with customers and internal teams.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and a consistent focus on quality.
