Engineer - MEP

Role overview

This position focuses on site execution of mechanical and MEP-related activities at a project location. The engineer will help drive the installation and completion of piping, equipment erection, HVAC, fire-fighting, and utility systems while maintaining quality, safety, and schedule commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical work at site, including installation of equipment, piping, ducting, fire-fighting systems, and related utilities.
• Oversee subcontractors and site crews so that progress stays aligned with the planned schedule and required standards.
• Review and understand mechanical drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and layout drawings for accurate execution.
• Perform stage-wise checks, testing, and installation verification in line with QA/QC procedures.
• Make sure the needed materials, tools, labour, and equipment are available to keep work moving without interruption.
• Maintain project records such as daily progress updates, inspection records, and material movement or tracking logs.
• Work with procurement teams to ensure materials arrive on time and with design teams for technical inputs or clarifications.
• Track contractor performance and escalate any deviations, defects, or non-conformities.
• Follow safety rules, contribute to safety audits, and take part in tool-box talks.
• Support commissioning work and help close punch points during handover.
