The Role

An opportunity is available for dependable, energetic cleaners to join the team in Rangiora and support supermarket cleaning operations. This position suits someone who works well in a busy environment, pays close attention to detail, and enjoys keeping customer spaces clean, presentable, and welcoming.

Shift pattern: Saturday and Sunday, 4:00 AM to 6:30 AM.

Pay rate: NZD 26.00 per hour.

Key Duties

• Carry out day-to-day cleaning tasks to a consistently high standard.
• Clean upholstered and other furnishings as required.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Clean toilets and restroom areas.
• Collect and dispose of waste.
• Clean internal and external glass surfaces.
• Dust hard surfaces thoroughly.

About You

• You ideally bring prior cleaning experience, preferably in a commercial setting.
• You have experience with detailed or precision cleaning work.
• You are comfortable working in a supermarket environment.
• You have dependable transport and a current full driver’s licence.
• You have a history of working effectively in a team.
• You can follow directions and also work independently when needed.
• You demonstrate strong attention to detail.
• You provide good customer service.
• You are known for being punctual and reliable.
• You understand workplace health and safety requirements.
• You can work flexible hours and public holidays if required.
• Experience using floor care equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, or sweepers would be an advantage.
• You must be 18 years or older because of company health and safety rules.
• Training and health and safety communication are provided only in English, so strong spoken and written English comprehension is required.
• You must have valid work rights in New Zealand.
