Design Manager

Role overview

An established residential developer in County Louth is looking to hire a skilled Design Manager to lead the design function across projects. This role covers the full journey from pre-construction planning through to handover, with responsibility for keeping the design programme on track, coordinating technical inputs, and making sure all stakeholder needs are met on residential schemes.

What you'll do

• Lead and organise the design workflow from early planning stages through to construction completion.
• Bring together architects, specialist consultants, subcontractors, and internal delivery teams.
• Check design documents and information to confirm they align with project specifications and applicable regulations.
• Track design schedules and make sure information is released in step with construction timelines.
• Spot and help resolve clashes, coordination issues, and other technical challenges.
• Oversee design changes and keep communication clear and effective across all involved parties.
• Provide technical and design support to project delivery teams when issues arise.
• Maintain consistently high design standards across the full project lifecycle.

Requirements

• A degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
• Prior experience working as a Design Manager or Design Coordinator in residential construction.
• Good knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and construction methods/processes.
• Proven experience working with multidisciplinary design teams.

Salary and benefits

• €80,000 to €90,000, depending on experience.
