Design Engineer MEP

Role overview

This position is for an MEP Design Engineer with 8 to 17 years of practical experience in planning and coordinating building services for residential, commercial, and hospitality developments. Professionals who have worked on premium or luxury projects will be preferred.

Technical scope

The role covers design work across HVAC, electrical, ELV, plumbing, and fire fighting systems, depending on the project needs.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed MEP design packages for HVAC, electrical, ELV, plumbing, and fire fighting systems as required.
• Bring together inputs from multiple disciplines to deliver coordinated and fully integrated MEP solutions.
• Examine drawings, technical specifications, and submittals to confirm correctness and alignment with project expectations.
• Liaise with architects, structural engineers, and project stakeholders to close design gaps and resolve issues.
• Make sure the designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Contribute to design reviews, value engineering discussions, and technical coordination meetings.
• Provide support to site execution teams whenever project delivery demands it.

Requirements

• 8 to 17 years of experience in MEP design and coordination.
• Hands-on exposure to residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
• Experience with luxury developments will be an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant discipline tools.
• Good understanding of local and international codes and standards.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving ability.
