About the Team

Join Sea 's HQ Finance department, a crucial team supporting the accounting and finance functions for our core businesses (Garena, Shopee, Monee) across various regional markets. The Group Data function within this department is responsible for building and maintaining scalable data infrastructure through robust ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and warehousing. We also develop web-based tools to facilitate efficient data access and interaction, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis.

Job Description

As a Data Analyst, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality, comprehensive analyses to meet business requirements. Your role will involve leveraging strong technical expertise in ongoing projects and contributing to the design and implementation of innovative solutions to support our expanding business needs.

Responsibilities

• Gather and interpret user needs to design data deliverables.
• Analyze data sources and design data warehouse and ETL pipelines.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain ETL pipelines utilizing diverse technologies.
• Ensure proper management of data, scripts, and documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Assist users with offline data processing and enhance efficiency by automating repetitive tasks.
• Collaborate with the data platform team to improve platform features and streamline ETL development.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Demonstrate a strong capacity for self-learning and a high degree of ownership.
• Possess a deep understanding of SQL and Python; proficiency in other programming languages like R, Scala, Java, and Shell is advantageous.
• Have practical experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Flink.
• Exhibit strong analytical capabilities, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
