Custodian

Role overview

The Custodian is tasked with keeping company premises clean, sanitary, and aligned with internal housekeeping standards.

Key responsibilities

• Use brooms, scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuum equipment to clean the terminal to company standards.
• Collect and dispose of waste from offices, restrooms, and break areas every day, while keeping bins emptied and cleaned.
• Restock restrooms with the supplies needed for daily use.
• Move, reposition, and adjust office furnishings when required.
• Check that pest-control systems are functioning properly and that sanitation standards remain high throughout the facility.
• Clear ice and snow from walkways used by pedestrians and from parking areas.
• Keep company property clear of trash, litter, and other debris.
• Prepare reports related to labor and equipment as required by the company.
• Maintain a record of repair history by equipment type.
• Keep complete and accurate logs, records, and reports as needed.
• Escalate safety-related issues to the shift supervisor.
• Follow OSHA and MSDS requirements and procedures.
• Carry out additional duties assigned by the Operations Manager.
