About the internship

Basti Ki Pathshala Foundation is looking for a Backend Development intern who wants to use technology for social impact. The organization works to improve access to quality education for children in underserved and slum communities, and this role supports that mission by helping build and improve the platform behind their work.

This internship is based on remote, part-time work and is intended for candidates who can join immediately and commit to a 1-month duration.

What you will work on

Partner with the development team to plan and build backend features and solutions.
Create, update, and manage database systems using MySQL and MongoDB.
Develop readable, efficient, and maintainable code in Python, Java, and PHP.
Connect third-party services and develop RESTful APIs and web services.
Add security measures that help protect data and maintain integrity.
Improve application speed and investigate technical issues when they arise.
Keep up with current tools, practices, and trends to support platform improvements.

This opportunity is open to candidates who can work from home, begin between 16 June 2026 and 21 July 2026, and remain available for the full 1-month internship.
