Role Overview
NovaPay Private Ltd is seeking a skilled Java and Spring Boot backend engineer who is also comfortable working on Angular-based front-end systems. This position is focused on more than just building features; it requires someone who can design, develop, document, test, and take full ownership of services across a regulated, multi-service payments platform.
The company builds secure, traceable, and dependable payment technology for Zimbabwe’s digital payments ecosystem. The role offers the chance to contribute to important financial infrastructure used by businesses, banks, and customer-facing payment services.
What You Will Do
You will work across backend development, API creation, database planning, third-party integrations, and full-stack delivery. The position calls for reliable, secure, auditable, and scalable system building.
This opportunity is well suited to a developer who enjoys working on fintech infrastructure, understands the importance of quality in payment systems, and is confident taking responsibility from requirements through to production.
Technical Environment
The stack includes Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, Spring Security/OAuth2, MySQL, Flyway, RabbitMQ, Redis, REST, SOAP, Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and monitoring/observability tools.

Location: Zimbabwe, with remote or hybrid working arrangement to be discussed.
