Associate Product Manager

Role Overview

This position is for an Associate Product Manager based in India, supporting product initiatives in the energy technology space. The role focuses on identifying market opportunities, translating customer feedback into product improvements, and coordinating with multiple internal teams to bring well-defined products and releases to market.

Key Responsibilities

• Study the market to spot industry trends, competitive movements, and new opportunities within the energy domain.
• Gather input from installers and end users, analyze recurring issues, and convert those findings into practical product enhancements.
• Keep Market Requirements Documents current so they continue to reflect changing customer expectations and market demands.
• Set, refine, and rank product features and system requirements for the next-generation gateway and controller for Enphase products.
• Build and maintain release timelines in coordination with product management, sales, and engineering stakeholders.
• Prepare release notes for both internal teams and external audiences for software launches.
• Partner with engineering, quality, reliability, training, and customer support teams to improve product quality and overall customer experience.
• Drive cross-functional workstreams such as new product introductions and beta programs, with an agile and market-aligned approach.
• Assist sales efforts by joining customer discussions and creating marketing materials, presentations, and training content.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or another related engineering branch is required.
• Background in product management, software development, systems engineering, or a similar area is expected.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly in writing, verbally, and through presentations.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, demanding, and entrepreneurial environment.
• A customer-first mindset with a clear focus on satisfaction and outcomes.
• Hands-on experience with IoT gateway or energy management products in a software development or planning role.
• Evidence of leading work across multiple functions and teams.
• Willingness to collaborate with both onshore and offshore global teams.

Preferred Profile

• An advanced degree such as a Master’s in Engineering or an MBA from a respected institution, showing both technical and business understanding.
• Proven success in handling complex initiatives and leading agile product development efforts.
