Associate NDT Tech

Job overview

This is an entry-level NDT role suited to someone who can work under close guidance and follow established procedures and scientific methods. The position calls for basic capability in an analytical or technical process, along with the relevant licenses or certifications needed for the work.

Key responsibilities

• Identify whether flaws meet acceptance criteria or represent non-conformance, and document findings clearly and accurately.
• Carry out non-destructive testing on welds and materials using methods such as RT, UT, PT, and MT, following the project NDT plan, approved procedures, applicable codes, and contract requirements.
• Coordinate with the assigned QC inspector to confirm when rectification activities have been completed.

Qualifications and skills

• A high school diploma or a related degree is required.
• At least 1 year of experience working as an NDT technician in a relevant discipline.
• Valid ASNT, PCN, or CSWIP Level II certification.
• Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to perform and record daily calibration of NDT equipment according to procedure requirements.
• Strong judgement in reviewing test results, evaluating weld acceptance, and preparing reports in line with the applicable code and acceptance criteria.
