Role Purpose
The Area Support Coordinator role involves providing support across various locations and leading key retail projects and initiatives within the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage coordination of cylinder and hard goods inventories.
- Assist and support branch managers with payables and purchase order processing using Coupa.
- Provide training and support to agents using the Messer Agent system.
- Conduct customer site cylinder inventories including those at Messer agents.
- Support inventory management and back order resolution, stepping in for branch managers if needed.
- Deliver training on SAP, business processes, procedures, and product knowledge to current and new branch staff.
- Assist with implementation and rollout of retail strategies and goals.
- Contribute to achieving regional Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) at various locations.
- Coordinate and support retail branch physical inventory counts for both hard goods and gas products.
- Ensure business continuity by covering staff vacancies and providing vacation relief at branch sites.
- Conduct customer cylinder audits as necessary.
- Support and mentor new branch managers and inside sales staff, including driver coaching.
- Participate in regional special projects as assigned.
- Serve as a leader in promoting safety within the workplace.
Qualifications and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in administration preferred.
- At least two years’ experience in management or inside sales within an industrial environment.
- Possession of a DZ driver's license is mandatory.
Key Skills and Attributes
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and coaching abilities.
- Capacity to handle multiple duties and meet deadlines in high-pressure situations.
- Proficient computer skills, especially with SAP; familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is advantageous.
- Experience overseeing employee teams and a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Knowledge of the gas and welding industry is considered a plus.
- Adaptability to new environments and ability to travel extensively, including on short notice.
