Role Summary

This is a full-time role based onsite in Dehradun for a 3B2 Compositor. The position focuses on composing and formatting books, journals, and other print or digital content using 3B2/APP or comparable typesetting tools, while ensuring work aligns with client instructions and publishing standards.

What You Will Do

On a daily basis, you will prepare templates, apply styles, manage page flow, and work on complex page layouts. You will ensure correct positioning of text, images, tables, and equations, review source materials carefully, spot formatting or layout inconsistencies, and work with editorial, quality assurance, and production teams to resolve issues. The role also includes following established workflows, meeting production deadlines, keeping version control accurate, and contributing to process enhancements and automation efforts where relevant.

Required Background

Successful candidates should bring strong compositing ability for both print and digital output, along with hands-on experience using 3B2/APP or a similar composition and typesetting platform. A solid understanding of layout principles and computer graphics is important, especially for handling pages that include visuals, tables, and equations. Experience with interactive or animated elements in digital publishing is considered an added advantage, as is familiarity with visual consistency and presentation quality in media or publishing workflows.

Additional Expectations

You should be detail-oriented, comfortable interpreting client style guides, and able to troubleshoot formatting challenges effectively. The role requires someone who can manage deadlines in a production setting, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and remain physically present at the Dehradun office. A diploma or degree in Publishing, Graphic Arts, Computer Science, Multimedia, or a related discipline is preferred, and previous experience in book or journal composition will be an advantage.
