Role overview
An enthusiastic, driven Valeter is needed for the Valet Centre in Linwood. The role focuses on keeping vehicles in excellent presentation condition while working in a hands-on, active environment.

Working hours
This is a full-time position with the following schedule: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 5:30pm; Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm; and alternate Saturdays, 8:00am to 12:00pm.
Main purpose of the job
The successful candidate will make sure all sold and stock vehicles are cleaned and finished to a consistently high standard. The role suits someone who enjoys physical work, pays close attention to detail, and works well with others.
Key duties
- Prepare sold and stock vehicles to a high standard of cleanliness
- Wash vehicle exteriors using a pressure washer
- Vacuum and shampoo vehicle interiors with professional equipment
- Use polishing and buffing tools to improve the appearance of bodywork
- Follow health and safety rules when handling chemicals
- Keep machinery and equipment in safe working order, report faults promptly, and follow manufacturer guidance and PPE requirements
- Work towards set deadlines and performance targets
- Use an online diary system to organise vehicle scheduling
- Record completed work each day
- Assist with other branch tasks when needed
Skills and experience needed
- Valid full UK driving licence
- Basic computer literacy
- Strong eye for detail
- Self-driven attitude with the ability to work effectively in a team
- Good multitasking ability
- Willingness to take part in training
Training and progression
Previous valeting experience is helpful but not required. Full training can be given to candidates who show strong enthusiasm and meet the other criteria. All new valet staff also attend the Valet Academy.
