About the Role

This position is for an experienced Technical Program Manager with a background in the IT sector, preferably alongside major technology vendors and infrastructure providers. The role calls for a solid understanding of hardware-based solutions and the fundamentals of infrastructure build projects, including the way engineering, construction, operations, and IT teams collaborate to deliver complex systems.

You will work across engineering, construction, operations, IT, and commercial functions to create alignment, momentum, and clarity across highly technical, interdependent initiatives. The role sits at the center of these groups, helping each stakeholder understand priorities, responsibilities, and the wider program vision.

The job requires both strategic judgment and practical execution. You will help establish scalable systems and processes while also being willing to handle early-stage manual work when needed, especially before automation or tooling is introduced.

This is a remote-based position. The compensation package includes base salary, equity, and subsidized benefits. The role is also noted to offer competitive base pay, medical/dental/vision coverage at subsidized cost, HSA, FSA, DCFSA, retirement options including 401(k) and Roth 401(k), unlimited PTO, and 14 paid company holidays each year.

Key Responsibilities

Manage complex technical programs that involve hardware, infrastructure, IT systems, and readiness for operations.
Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, IT, and commercial stakeholders to keep goals, dependencies, schedules, and staffing aligned.
Turn complicated workstreams into clear plans by defining milestones, success measures, and execution structures.
Develop repeatable and scalable processes that support both long-term efficiency and immediate execution needs.
Spot risks early, put mitigation plans in place, and escalate urgent issues without delay.
Strengthen relationships across all levels of the organization to build trust, shared accountability, and open decision-making.
Make sure teams understand their responsibilities, expected outcomes, and the program’s strategic direction.
Translate technical information for different audiences and support effective communication across teams.
Coordinate operational readiness so hardware, infrastructure, and IT systems are ready for deployment.
Monitor program status and share progress, decisions, and risk updates with leadership using both data and clear narrative.
Encourage accountability and ongoing improvement across the teams involved in execution.

Required Qualifications

At least 8 years of experience in technical program management within IT or technology vendor environments.
Practical exposure to hardware solutions, hardware lifecycle management, or infrastructure that depends on hardware.
Experience with infrastructure build initiatives such as data centers, edge deployments, network rollouts, or similar work.
Proven success aligning engineering and operational teams across functions.
Ability to bring order and direction to ambiguous or fast-changing technical programs.
Experience creating scalable workflows, governance, and operating systems, while being comfortable starting with manual or lightweight methods.
Strong communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Capability to think at a strategic level while still driving day-to-day execution.
Demonstrated skill in managing risks, dependencies, and detailed plans across multiple teams.

Preferred Experience

Background in data center operations, cloud infrastructure, networking hardware, or OEM hardware vendor environments.
Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes is helpful.
Program management certifications or training such as PMP, Agile, or Lean are considered an advantage but are not mandatory.
Technical familiarity with IT infrastructure domains is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a base salary range of AUD 163,040 to AUD 203,800. In addition to salary, the package includes equity and subsidized benefits.
