About the Role
Join Intuit as a Software Engineer 1 on the Intuit Data Exchange team. This role is part of a dynamic group focused on developing capabilities for an AI-first data acquisition and document management platform. This platform is designed to facilitate effortless data acquisition, high-quality comprehension, and seamless automation across all Intuit products. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality web or mobile software, encompassing requirements, design, coding, and documentation.
- Engage in hands-on coding for approximately 80-95% of the work time.
- Participate actively in early quality assurance processes, including peer reviews of estimates, designs, and code.
- Address and resolve defects and bugs identified during QA testing, pre-production, production, and through post-release patches.
- Collaborate effectively with all team members to meet project commitments.
- Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams, including product management, QA/QE, and different product lines or business units, to achieve desired outcomes.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to team success and foster positive team dynamics.
- Show enthusiasm for developing and applying technical skills to benefit customers.
- Gain experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, and/or Extreme Programming methodologies.
Qualifications
- Possess a BS/MS in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
- Have at least 1 year of experience in developing web, software, or mobile applications.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and their practical application.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Languages (OOD) such as Java/J2EE.
- Understand the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Possess an understanding of, and preferably experience with, web services (REST/GraphQL).
- Understand the principles of unit testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Exhibit a "self-starter" mindset with the ability to make independent decisions.
- Maintain a helpful, can-do attitude and a willingness to take ownership of challenges.
- Show a strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth.
- Possess excellent problem-solving skills with a proven track record of successful task completion.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate outstanding partnership and collaboration skills.
