About the Company
Notion is an AI-powered collaborative workspace designed to help teams and autonomous tools work together in one connected environment. It brings knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI capabilities into a single place so work feels more streamlined, organized, and less scattered. The platform is used by millions of individuals, small teams, and large enterprises.
Employees at Notion are expected to act as the first users of the product and help shape the future of work. The company values thoughtful craftsmanship, durable systems, and the belief that strong work remains deeply human. Its mission is not just to launch features, but to help define how people collaborate in the AI era, from managing company knowledge and AI agents to reducing repetitive work for customers.
About the Role
Notion is hiring a Recruiting Program Manager to help create, improve, and scale the systems and programs that support hiring. The right candidate will be proactive, decisive, and comfortable owning work from start to finish without waiting for detailed instructions. This person should enjoy building new infrastructure, bringing order to complex work, and creating momentum across teams.
The role sits at the center of a major evolution in Notion’s recruiting approach. You will work closely with Recruiters, Recruiting Operations, People, Finance, Communications, and senior leaders to lead high-priority initiatives that shape how the company attracts, assesses, and hires exceptional talent.
This position may be based in San Francisco or New York City. The team works in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, which are the company’s in-person collaboration days.
What You’ll Work On
- Improve interviewer systems by defining the structure, training, standards, and measurement methods that keep interviews consistently strong. This includes initiatives such as Interviewer 101, Hiring Manager Training, and team-specific interviewer certification programs.
- Manage the health of the interviewer pool, including the process for keeping it organized, well distributed, and high quality, while also supporting AI-based and experimental interview formats.
- Lead onboarding and enablement efforts for the recruiting team so that new recruiters can ramp quickly and the group can maintain a high operating standard.
- Support specialized hiring initiatives, including internal mobility, merger and acquisition integration, and other strategic recruiting programs.
- Create playbooks, communication flows, and coordination frameworks that help Recruiting operate more consistently, clearly, and at greater scale.
Required Experience and Qualities
- At least 5 years of experience in program management, recruiting operations, or another highly cross-functional role in a fast-paced setting.
- A strong sense of ownership and initiative, with the ability to move quickly without needing perfect information or detailed direction.
- A builder mindset and enthusiasm for designing new systems or improving processes that are not yet working well.
- Excellent project management capability, including the ability to take complex efforts from planning through delivery while handling stakeholders, deadlines, and shifting priorities.
- Comfort working in ambiguous and complicated environments, with the ability to introduce structure where it is missing.
- Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive or high-visibility work.
- Analytical thinking and the ability to use data to assess program performance, identify trends, and guide decisions.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and levels of seniority.
Preferred Background
- Experience managing recruiting programs through different phases of recruiting maturity and rapid growth.
- Exposure to recruiting, talent operations, or HR program design.
- Familiarity with technical hiring, especially in AI, engineering, or product areas.
- Strong familiarity with Notion as a product and enthusiasm for what the company is building.
Compensation and Benefits
Notion offers competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. Final pay depends on factors such as location, scope of the role, and the candidate’s background. For candidates based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated annual base salary range is $140,000 to $195,000.
Additional Information
By submitting an application, you acknowledge that Notion and its affiliates will collect and process your information in line with its Global Recruiting Privacy Policy and NYLL 144.
AI at Notion
