Operator, Depot

Role overview

This position is responsible for carrying out quality-control checks at the depot and apron, while also supporting aircraft fuelling and defuelling activities.

Key duties

• Carry out tank dip monitoring, including physical dip measurements, and compare the readings with the tank gauging system to verify fuel levels.
• Perform floating suction checks, conductivity tests, and regular serviceability inspections on tanks.
• Collect samples from filters, tanks, pipelines, and other equipment located in the depot and shelters.
• Receive products through bridges and unload them into storage tanks in line with company procedures.
• Load refuellers and transfer fuel to satellite tanks whenever required.
• Clean and maintain sampling tools and equipment such as buckets, bottles, and closed-sampling systems.
• Follow HSE procedures and use the company-issued uniform and safety equipment at all times.
• Carry out fuelling operator duties as needed.
• Handle any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

General responsibilities

• Apply all relevant policies, systems, standards, procedures, and controls to meet operational targets.
• Support on-the-job training activities aligned with competency-based training programmes for UAE nationalisation.
• Contribute ideas for improving operating methods and functional processes.
• Comply with HSE and sustainability requirements, including applicable legislation, international standards, best practices, and ADNOC Code of Practices.
• Take part in emergency response activities as a team member.
• Keep the workplace clean and organised before, during, and after operations.
• Assist with preparing section progress reports for management.
• Prepare KPI checklists for management review.

Working relationships

Regular interaction is expected with depot and fuelling staff, as well as with external consultants, third-party service providers, and government agencies when needed.

Working conditions

The role involves significant physical activity, including walking, climbing, lifting, pulling, bending, and driving. Most of the workday is spent outdoors in weather, noise, and fumes.
