Job Summary

Geri Care Hospital is seeking a qualified and passionate Nursing Educator/Clinical Instructor to join our team in Chennai. This role is crucial in developing and delivering high-quality educational programs for our nursing staff, ensuring they are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to provide exceptional care to our senior patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing education and a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver comprehensive nursing education programs, training sessions, and workshops tailored to the needs of our staff.
• Instruct on essential clinical skills, patient care protocols, and the latest nursing best practices.
• Assess and evaluate learner progress through various methods including direct observation, formal assessments, and constructive feedback.
• Design effective lesson plans, develop engaging instructional materials, and create robust competency evaluation tools.
• Provide mentorship and support to nursing staff, students, and new hires, guiding their professional growth.
• Ensure all educational activities and practices adhere strictly to healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to identify specific training requirements and gaps.
• Maintain meticulous records of educational activities, participant progress, and training outcomes.
• Stay abreast of advancements in nursing practices, emerging healthcare technologies, and evidence-based care methodologies.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of our nursing curriculum and participate actively in quality improvement initiatives within the education department.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory; a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is highly preferred.
• Possession of a current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical nursing practice.
• Prior experience in teaching or training roles within a healthcare setting is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities are essential.
