Materials Controller

About the Role

A confidential company in Riyadh is seeking a Material Controller to manage material and tool issuance, maintain inventory levels, and provide essential support to the maintenance team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of maintenance activities by accurately tracking and managing all materials and tools.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the issuance of materials and tools to the maintenance team based on approved work orders.
• Proactively manage stock levels by initiating Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for necessary items.
• Liaise with the purchasing department to ensure timely creation of Purchase Orders (POs) and confirm material delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to oversee material storage, issuance, and delivery processes.
• Maintain meticulous records of all items dispatched to external workshops for repair services.
• Follow up with suppliers and service providers to guarantee the punctual delivery of materials.
• Manage the issuance of common tools to maintenance technicians, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Possession of a college diploma or relevant certificate.
• A minimum of 1 to 3 years of practical, hands-on experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of material handling procedures and record-keeping best practices.

Skills & Knowledge

• Effective interactive communication abilities, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic SAP functionalities.
• Competence in both spoken and written English.
• Fluency in spoken Arabic.
• Strong skills in planning, organizing tasks, and diligent follow-up.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, onsite position located in Riyadh's 2nd Industrial City.
