Role overview
Stefanini Group is seeking a Material Planner for a fully remote assignment. Training may take place in McIntosh, Alabama for one week, and the client will cover travel costs except for meals; the candidate will need to pay for meals initially and then expense them through weekly timecards.
Work schedule
The role follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including a 1-hour lunch break.

- Build and align long-range raw material supply plans with regional planners and the production scheduler.
- Flag, escalate, and communicate exceptions with the relevant teams when issues, shutdowns, trials, or other major conflicts affect production.
- Coordinate material availability and planning with materials management, and manage logistics discussions with production logistics and third-party outsourced logistics partners.
- Create purchase requisitions for raw materials, oversee availability against the plan, and support packaging coordination and intercompany order creation.
- Update master data, including packaging-related regulatory data.
- Serve as the problem-solving contact for assigned products and as the interface to warehouse logistics providers, including SAP WM-related processes and topics.
- Manage RACE requests for raw materials and prepare SAP analyses related to raw material planning.
- Plan purchase order needs and accelerate deliveries of raw materials and packaging components for contract manufacturing formulation and packaging sites.
- Process SAP orders for raw materials and packaging components used in contract manufacturing operations.
- Monitor and report actual versus planned deliveries and the current status of raw materials and packaging components.
- Translate internal active ingredient and raw material demand into purchase orders for global internal and external suppliers.
- Review production demand, purchase order requirements, raw material stock, and component stock to help ensure supplies arrive in time for production schedules.
- Speed up deliveries whenever needed.
- Prepare reports that show open orders, supplier confirmations, and delivery timelines to keep stakeholders informed.
- Make sure all logistics activities are arranged for the related shipments.
- Match month-end physical inventory with SAP records, check invoices for approval, and support control of raw material and packaging deliveries as well as finished raw production at third-party formulation and packaging sites.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate brings a business, supply chain, or related degree along with hands-on experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations. The role also calls for strong systems knowledge, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate well across teams.
Additional requirements and notes
This is a high-speed production environment, so the selected candidate must be very responsive. Experience with import planning, SAP APO and R/3, ERP tools, and knowledge of local suppliers and import vendors are especially valuable. Experience with PI or tank telemetry is considered a major advantage.
Application process note
The employer states that it does not extend job offers without first speaking with candidates by phone. Any in-person conversation will include a discussion of the role, the interview process, and the offer process.
