Role Overview
THE·TEAM is seeking a Junior Designer to join its Creative team in Aldwych House, London. In this role, you will contribute to a wide range of sports- and brand-focused creative work as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary agency team.
The ideal candidate is energetic, imaginative, and comfortable working under pressure. You should enjoy graphic design and visual problem-solving, bring a collaborative mindset, and be keen to grow your portfolio and capabilities in a fast-moving environment.
What You Will Do
- Partner with the Design Director, Design Leads, and Senior Designers to help develop and deliver design concepts and finished assets.
- Support the creation of campaign identities, branding systems, visual directions, and brand expressions for both new and existing clients.
- Produce work from a blank canvas, adapt existing brand guidelines, or refine and evolve current brand assets where needed.
- Manage multiple design assignments from initial brief through to final delivery for internal and external audiences.
- Create visual mock-ups and presentation-ready artwork across social media, websites, out-of-home media, branded environments, and vehicle livery.
- Prepare design outputs for a variety of uses, including social content, digital infographics, and toolkit materials.
- Present creative work to colleagues and internal stakeholders.
- Act as a steward for client brands and help maintain brand consistency.
- Design internal communications and support the care and consistency of THE·TEAM’s own brand identity.
Experience and Skills
Applicants should have at least one year of agency experience, preferably in a sports-related setting.
You should be comfortable designing across multiple channels and formats such as branding, web, social, print, and out-of-home advertising. Strong visualisation ability is important for building key visuals and mock-ups.
A working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro, is required. Familiarity with Figma is a plus, as is experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Keynote. Exposure to Midjourney and Adobe Firefly would be an added advantage.
The role also calls for strong attention to detail, solid organisational habits, the ability to work to deadlines, confidence in building relationships, initiative, and comfort taking verbal direction. A sound understanding of how to design within brand guidelines, flexibility across different project types and timelines, a willingness to support the team wherever needed, and a basic grasp of print production are all important. You should also have an awareness of emerging tools and trends and a genuine interest in keeping up with them. A passion for sports, music, and entertainment is recommended.
