Instructional Designer (eLearning)

Role overview

An organization in the financial and regulatory space is looking for an inventive Instructional Designer to help shape employee learning and development. The work centers on building skill-focused eLearning that improves performance, simplifies complex material, and supports business goals. The position is fully remote and follows EST working hours.

What you will do

• Carry out detailed job, task, and training needs analyses to define learning goals and determine the best solutions for performance improvement.
• Work with Program Managers and Subject Matter Experts to create full training curricula, including program goals, overall objectives, and module-level outcomes.
• Build curriculum plans that support lasting performance gains and employee growth using modern instructional design practices and adult learning principles.
• Independently create new training initiatives from the ground up, beginning with formal learning needs assessment.
• Partner with Program Managers to choose suitable instructional approaches, delivery formats, and media based on the audience, content complexity, learning preferences, and stage of learning.
• Develop training mainly for self-paced, skill-based eLearning, while also supporting instructor-led, virtual classroom, and blended learning formats.
• Collaborate with eLearning specialists to produce advanced digital learning experiences that are interactive and effective.
• Analyze assessment outcomes, learner feedback, and evaluation data to measure training impact and identify improvements.
• Design evaluation plans and measurement tools that confirm learning and performance objectives are met, including support for valid criterion-based assessments.

What you need

• A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent background, along with at least 5 years of instructional design experience.
• Proven ability to design learning for complex topics across multiple delivery methods, including classroom-led, virtual, and self-paced eLearning.
• Hands-on experience with authoring platforms, graphics tools, animation software, and audio editing applications.
• Strong project coordination and time management capabilities.
• Excellent creativity, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Solid understanding of instructional technology and advanced capability with eLearning development tools, including some limited custom programming where needed.
• Ability to turn learning concepts into clear, effective storyboards.
• Strong command of instructional design frameworks such as ADDIE and SAM.
• Comfort using AI tools to support design and development work.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Vyond, Veed, Camtasia, and Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Preferred qualifications

• A master’s degree in Instructional Design or a related discipline.
• Experience using Wrike.
