Executive, AML Operations

About the role

This position is for a meticulous and initiative-driven AML Operations Executive with RHB Banking Group in Singapore. The role focuses on carrying out Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) activities, helping business teams stay aligned with regulatory expectations, and making sure reviews are completed accurately and on time.

You will also contribute to protecting the bank from financial crime risk by spotting potential concerns and offering practical support on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) matters.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out CDD and KYC processing, including timely periodic submissions for business units, and guide Relationship Managers on items that need follow-up.
• Handle trigger-based checks and other ad-hoc customer reviews requested by BRCO or the AML Compliance team.
• Prepare responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) covering due diligence, KYC, and AML topics while coordinating with Relationship Managers and business unit staff.
• Support business and support teams on AML/CFT matters, particularly during customer onboarding and ongoing monitoring.
• Work with BRCO and the AML team to spot control gaps or process weaknesses through testing activities.
• Contribute AML/CFT input to special projects and other bank-wide initiatives as needed.
• Ensure information and supporting documents are delivered accurately and within deadlines when requested by law enforcement agencies.

Requirements

• Good working knowledge of AML/CFT regulations and related operational procedures.
• Hands-on experience with CDD, KYC, and customer risk assessment work.
• Strong analytical ability and a practical approach to solving problems.
• Capability to work both on your own and effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Clear communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
• Background in banking or financial services will be an added advantage.
